crocodile granny

vintage jacket. elizabeth & james blouse. romwe shorts. thrifted boots. vintage bag. 3.1 phillip lim necklace.

I kind of feel like a slut-grandma-secretary-badbutt-matador in this look, but I kind of love it.
Finals time! Only one more week of the school semester is left!
I'll be back!

ps. I am so obsessed with my new bag! Such a great investment.

my precious

vintage bag via etsy LaFemme Vintage

My to-go/school bag aka my only bag broke, so as a substitute I was using a heinous canvas tote. It was clashing with every outfit I pulled together, and I was desperate for a new bag. But I wasn't going to purchase and settle for any bag, it had to be perfect because I honestly hate carrying bags so I prefer to keep my bag collection to a minimum. Which is like two bags. . . Then, I found this little beauty on Etsy (my newest online addiction/distraction). I was actually looking for a crocodile briefcase/messenger/satchel bag, so it was just perfect timing! I love the elegant briefcase structure, and with the crocodile embossed leather it gives the bag a special edge and adds a perfect touch of texture to all of my looks. It's my precious!

Check out what other cute little gadgets and trinkets I'm obsessed with on Etsy on my pinterest board! Etsy Obsessed!

ps. Sorry for the blog neglection!

monochrome retreat

thrifted blouse. zara shorts.

Oh no. . . I'm slowly retreating back to my monochromatic ways. . . all that color integration is slowly starting to fade away! Come back! (Cue Titanic scene with drowning Jack) Come back color, come back!

under-pants

While viewing all the shows on style.com (because I'm not legit enough to actually be invited to one but one day!) during fashion month I noticed that one of the hottest styling trends for fall is wearing a pair of pants under a dress or skirt. Almost everyone was doing it! Now, all those girl's that always go out in those tacky skin tight dresses in freezing cold weather no longer have a reason to freeze their legs to death because it is now "in fashion" to wear pants under their dresses or skirts! Fashion has just saved them from a frostbite free season!
Will you guys be rocking this most definitely "man-repelling" look in the very distant season?

closet insight by Wiseling

Closet Insight with Derek Nguyen from Wiseling on Vimeo.

Quite recently, I had the lovely opportunity to be interviewed by Wiseling, an up-and-coming online clothing marketplace. Here, I just share some insight regarding my closet and some thoughts about my style. For some reason I keep forgetting that bloggers are real people and that we only exist in a virtual world; so, it's interesting/strange to hear bloggers talk. . . Is it just me that thinks this? But anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the mini interview!
Thanks for stopping by Karin of Wiseling!

super overthrow

urban outfitters blazer. thrifted blouse. romwe shorts. 3.1 phillip lim necklace. asos cuff. kate spade bracelet. thrifted boots.

I've been kind of obsessed/abusing with overthrowing a blazer, jacket, or coat over my shoulders lately. There's just something so regal and cool about an overthrown jacket. Maybe its the fact that it limits your arm mobility. It's like, oh I'm too fabulous to give you a legit hug, or "hey, can you get that for me," because I can't reach for anything above my chest because my jacket will fall off. It's just like ancient China and the Empresses bound feet. She was far too fabulous and important to even walk! So she had her little people carry her around in a carriage all day to whatever destination she desired. Such a carriage-setter!
Or maybe, it's because it makes me feel like superman. . . with the jacket being my almost cape. I'm secretly fighting villains and saving the day in my head whenever I'm running around town with an overthrown on. . . I still have the imagination of a 5 year old. Don't hate.

ps. I'm only kidding. I don't ask people to get things for me. I'm a big boy now.
